The Toshiba (Now Canon) Aquilion series remains to be popular in the U.S. and worldwide. Their durable and reliable x-ray tube is what makes this system so popular. It is used for all of their systems from the 4, 16, 32 and all the way to 64 slice. The 4 slice systems are almost out of service domestically but can still be found in many veterinary practices and international facilities. To this day the Aquilion 16 is still a great system that is used mainly for general imaging and continues to be very prominent throughout the world. The Aquilion 64 is a very capable whole body scanner and known for its ease of use. These systems can be acquired and installed on the lower end of the cost spectrum. The Aquilion series continues to develop world class tehcnology and have released a 128, 320 and even 640 slice systems that are just recently beginning to hit the secondary market--and for now--are still incredibly expensive.
