Refurbished Diagnostic Equipment to Help the People of Lviv, Ukraine

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has wreaked havoc on the Ukrainian people.  Fortunately, much of the world has come to their aid, and many charitable organizations have provided funding for various projects to help provide relief to a country in need.

Radiology Oncology Systems (ROS) was honored to be part of the effort to provide much needed medical equipment to facilities in Lviv, a city in the western part of the country.  Lviv is known for its extraordinary history, spectacular architecture, and vibrant arts scene.  What they needed, however, was a boost in much needed diagnostic imaging equipment.

Despite facing interruptions caused by air raid warnings, we replaced an older nonoperational catheterization laboratory with a refurbished Siemens Cath/Angio lab, a machine specifically designed for cardiac patients.  The Children’s Hospital also received a refurbished CT scanner.  This equipment was installed by the generous support of UNICEF.

With these machines, the patients of Lviv, many who are refugees from war-torn Eastern Ukraine, will get cutting edge diagnostic imaging equipment to enable their physicians and clinicians to better diagnose injury and disease.
