Bridging the Equipment Gap: ROS Partners with Project C.U.R.E. to Advance Global Health Equity
Providing quality healthcare to underserved communities across the globe is no small feat. It requires commitment, collaboration, and resources from organizations that are dedicated to improving lives. This is why ROS (Radiology Oncology Systems) has partnered with Project C.U.R.E. to donate a crucial piece of medical equipment that will have an enormous impact at the Fibrak Mother’s and Children’s Hospital in Ethiopia.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Project C.U.R.E. for many years to provide aid to healthcare facilities in need. I’ve seen first-hand how their thorough needs assessments ensure donated equipment can be put to the best possible use. So when ROS wanted to identify a worthy cause for a charitable donation, I knew Project C.U.R.E. would help us make the greatest difference.” Julia Enderle, Vice President of Strategic Accounts.
The recipient of our donated GE Silhouette VR X-ray System is Fibrak MCH– a clinic that provides specialized care for women, children, and their families in the Akaki Kality, Ethiopia area near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Despite being surrounded by schools, businesses, government offices, and hundreds of thousands of residents, this community has long suffered from inadequate access to healthcare. Fibrak MCH was founded to start filling this void, but its capacity remains limited. With our donation, the clinic will gain a crucial diagnostic capability to treat more patients.
The unit will be installed in a dedicated space at Fibrak MCH, allowing the clinic to provide X-rays onsite instead of referring patients elsewhere. This will improve care and reduce the burden on the overcrowded public hospitals that are too far for many to reach. By partnering with Project C.U.R.E., we can ensure this equipment directly addresses the needs that will make the biggest difference for Fibrak MCH and the community it serves.
At ROS, we’re committed to leveraging our resources and expertise to expand global healthcare access through strategic charitable initiatives.
