Each week Project C.U.R.E. delivers approximately three to five semi-truck-sized ocean containers packed with the medical equipment and supplies desperately needed to save lives in hospitals and clinics in resource-limited countries. In addition, each year hundreds of healthcare professionals travel with Project C.U.R.E. to provide medical treatment to communities in need and training to those dedicated to serving them. Project C.U.R.E. is supported by over 30,000 volunteers annually and operates distribution warehouses in seven U.S. cities.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Project C.U.R.E for many years to provide aid to healthcare facilities in need. I’ve seen first-hand how their thorough needs assessments ensure donated equipment can be put to the best possible use. So when ROS wanted to identify a worthy cause for a charitable donation, I knew Project C.U.R.E. would help us make the greatest difference.” – Julia Enderle, Vice President of Strategic Accounts
Teen Cancer America
Your donation would provide young people diagnosed with cancer the opportunity to be treated together, rather than with small children or adults. The cancer experience can be very isolating and overwhelming; by being together, young people can utilize each other for support and companionship during treatment and beyond.
“Seeing someone in the hospital the same age as me with cancer made me feel like I was not alone.” – Sophie, 15, treated at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
Eastern Oregon Cancer Network
The Eastern Oregon Cancer Network is a community-based, non-profit organization that seeks to improve the health and well-being of cancer patients and survivors in Eastern Oregon. We are committed to improving the state of healthcare in Pendleton and the surrounding areas, now and for future generations.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, EOCN has been able to provide a vital support system for cancer patients and their loved ones. Through the support of donations, we offer a private residence near Pendleton Cancer Center facilities, ensuring patients have a comfortable place to stay during their treatment weeks. This fully furnished home boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a complete kitchen, and two living areas, offering a peaceful retreat during a challenging time. Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing our commitment to serving as many patients as possible.
“Having a residence to stay during my treatment was the thing that took the weight off my shoulders. Not having to drive back and forth to La Grande for 45 days relieved, time, expense, and pressure. I cannot thank the EOCN enough for their generous donations that make the patient house available.” – Joel S.
