John Vano

John Vano - President

John’s role at ROS is to ensure the company delivers superior product solutions to its customers worldwide. John’s responsibilities include development of its management team, development of business strategies for the company, and strengthening the company’s relationships with its customers, partners and vendors.

Prior to joining ROS, John worked in consumer package goods marketing at the Coca-Cola Company and in sports product development and licensing at the Upper Deck Company. John is a native of San Antonio, Texas, is married to wife Brigette and has two daughters. John's parents moved to the U.S. from Spain and John is a native Spanish speaker. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA degree from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
Michael Teague

Michael Teague - SVP, Oncology Equipment


Michael’s focus at ROS is to provide clients with radiation therapy equipment solutions -- linear accelerators, simulators, CT simulators, HDR units, and more. As the Senior V.P. for Radiation Oncology, Michael enjoys working with customers worldwide providing creative, cost-effective solutions. Michael has a background in sales marketing and management and enjoys working on complex, challenging assignments.

Michael grew up in Virginia and has lived in Hawaii, Costa Rica, and California. He received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Information Systems from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling, and surfing.

Ryan Schock - VP, Imaging & New Products


As the leader of the Diagnostic Imaging Team at ROS, Ryan is responsible for delivering diagnostic imaging equipment solutions to facilities, service organizations and equipment brokers around the globe. Ryan’s knowledge of CT, MRI and nuclear medicine, along with his dynamic and outgoing personality, earns many accolades with customers. “Our mission is to be extraordinarily responsive to our customer’s needs, and this is what fuels the diagnostic imaging team’s success” states Ryan.

Ryan grew up in Hawaii then moved to the East Coast where he attended Radford University in Virginia. After college, he moved to San Diego in 1997. He is an avid sports fan and loves to watch NFL and NBA games. He grew up playing soccer and played with the US Olympic Development Soccer team as a teenager. When he is not working he can be found spending time with his beautiful wife Julie and their dog, Peppers. He also spends his free time traveling through Mexico and Central America searching for waves.

J. Phillip Hirschfelder - Director, International


Phillip joined the ROS Team in 2009 and focuses on providing his international customers with valuable radiation therapy equipment solutions. He is a self-labeled “customer-focused polyglot,” who speaks fluently in English, Spanish and German. He joined ROS with several years of sales management experience in car rental, travel insurance and related businesses.

Phillip was born in Venezuela and grew up in Florida, where he obtained a BA in Global Management with a minor in Economics from the University of Florida. He has lived in Dubai, the UK, Switzerland and Peru, and boasts travel to over 35 countries. Phillip enjoys all types of ocean activities (surfing, water skiing and scuba diving), as well as biking with his dog Nico, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

Katie Witherall

Katie Witherall - VP of Operations


As the Vice President of Operations at ROS, Katie’s role is to oversee the internal business operations and business development initiatives. She joined ROS with a background in operations and marketing. She completed a double-major in marketing and general management from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business, graduating cum laude with a BSM degree. As a fifth-generation Californian, Katie enjoys spending her weekends at the beach, the desert or the snow. She is an avid traveler and enjoys playing golf and tennis. 

Ben Weiss

Ben Weiss - General Counsel


Ben is an experienced corporate counselor, having advised and represented companies as varied as Fortune 100 multinationals to local tech start-ups. As General Counsel to ROS, Ben oversees ROS’s corporate legal matters and assists in contract negotiations and other strategic initiatives.

Ben earned his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego and his law degree from UCLA. After law school, Ben worked for two large national law firms and as the in-house General Counsel to a successful Southern California real estate development company prior to starting his own firm, The Weiss Group, LLP. Through The Weiss Group, LLP, Ben specializes in sophisticated corporate business transactions, including financings, securities, corporate formation and governance, contracts, and all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and development.

Ed Brown

Ed Brown - SR. Project Manager


As one of the veterans of the ROS Team, Ed has expertise in a variety of areas, including sales, logistics, project management and customer support. Ed’s work within the firm involves scheduling and managing large equipment projects, working with customers, vendors and support specialists. Ed’s prior work experience in both technical and legal functions provide him with a strong background for his current responsibilities.

Ed is a native of Connecticut, graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Gerontology, and has a graduate Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego. Ed is a devoted sports fan and is often cheering for the San Diego State Aztecs, San Diego Padres, and the Los Angeles Clippers. He stays active and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and surfing. He is a certified scuba diving instructor and has been recently certified as a kickboxing trainer.

Tommy Hughes - SR. Manager, Field operations, CYRPA Service Certified


Tommy joined ROS as a project manager after having accumulated over a decade of experience in various capacities. Tommy's role is to serve as a technical project manager, working with ROS's network of service providers to provide the best quality of service to ROS's customers.

Tommy grew up in Hilton Head, South Carolina where he found his passion for the outdoors. He has now lived in San Diego for 21 years and enjoys spending his free time surfing, snowboarding, and biking around the San Diego area. In the early 2000's, he spent a lot of his time traveling the world's best surfing destinations and living the life of a traveling photographer.

Federico J. Alvarez Peña, M.D.- Medical Director, Latinoamérica


Dr. Alvarez’s main goal at ROS is to expand the reach of life-saving equipment and services in the Caribbean and Latin America. He is responsible for managing ROS’s Latin American clients and for developing new business initiatives in the region.  

As a Varian and GE distributor from 2005 to 2014, Dr. Alvarez has been involved with numerous linear accelerator, CT Scanner and medical equipment system sales. He has also represented BrainLab, Konica, and NELCO, among other firms and products. With his medical background and sales savvy, he has excelled at bringing radiation therapy and imaging equipment to important regions in the Caribbean. He also won the Outstanding Performance Award for Latin America at a Varian global meeting in Switzerland.

With 15 years of accumulated experience and achievement in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, Dr. Alvarez is a crucial component to the continued success of ROS as a leading equipment provider around the globe.

Dr. Alvarez holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Theology from The Way College in Indiana and an Medical Doctor degree from Universidad UTESA in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Jorge Sandoval

Jorge Sandoval - Director, Diagnostic Imaging


Jorge joined ROS in 2017 as a Director on the Diagnostic Imaging Team. He has worked in the imaging field for more than 35 years and brings extensive knowledge of CT scanners, X-ray and ultrasound systems to the ROS team. Jorge has also been involved in the development of multiple imaging centers in Mexico. At ROS, Jorge’s role is to provide customized equipment solutions to clinics and hospitals worldwide.

Jorge also has patient care experience including serving as a Certified Respiratory Neonatology Technician in the intensive care units of multiple US hospitals.

Beyond ROS, Jorge is an avid Harley Davidson rider and enjoys attending motorcycle conventions. He enjoys spending time with his family, his three beautiful daughters – Rachel, Mavi and Gina, his six grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

D. Raymond Ollech

D. Raymond Ollech - Director, Construction & Project Management


DR joins R.O.S. with over 30 years of project management experience across a broad spectrum of healthcare and design/construction positions. His role with R.O.S. is to provide exceptional insight and management to clients with regards to the design and construction of Radiation Oncology facilities. With his background in project management, he ensures that equipment is handled, delivered, and installed with the highest standards of quality, while adhering to radiation shielding requirements.

DR is also a military service veteran and served as a part of the U.S Army Intelligence Corp. and 101st Airborne Division. D.R. received his bachelors from the University of the State of New York, and furthered his education by receiving a Masters in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago. Most recently, DR worked at Varian Medical Systems in a a variety of capacities, including heading up the design/build team.

Chad Kimber

Chad Kimber - SR. Client manager


Chad joins R.O.S. with 12 years of experience in the radiation oncology business. With 10 years of experience specifically in the NDT market in both project management and sales, he provides customers with a creative, full scope of solutions for their needs.

Chad has had a hand in various radiation oncology projects internationally, including removals, installations, and vault construction for medical equipment such as CT’s and linear accelerators. Chad thrives to deliver the highest quality to customers, catering beyond their expectations and needs.

Chad is a born and raised native of Michigan who enjoys his spare time in outdoors. He is an avid golfer and fisher, and overall, enjoys being an active body. His number one hobby of all, is spending quality time with his beautiful family which consists of his wife and two kids. 

Donna Vogt



Donna joined ROS in 2015 and currently serves on both the Diagnostic Imaging Team and the Radiation Oncology Team. Donna's focus is to bring quality, cost efficient medical equipment solutions to healthcare facilities in the U.S. Donna's role on each team is to connect with larger healthcare institutions to show them the value that ROS can provide.

Donna brings extensive medical imaging, healthcare and medical device experience to ROS. Prior to joining ROS, Donna worked for Digirad Corporation as the VP of Customer Service, leading a nation-wide Customer Service and Support organization. Originally from St Louis, Missouri, Donna began her healthcare career in medical imaging by obtaining a Bachelors of Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine imaging at SJMMC / Washington University medical imaging program and MBA certification through SLU/BJC Life-Long Learning program. As a Manager of Diagnostic Services and Sales for Barnes Jewish West County Hospital (entity of BJC Healthcare), Donna oversaw daily operations, sales and business development efforts, supporting campus growth and the delivery of exceptional patient care. In 2006, Donna and husband, Steve, and children, Gail and Patrick, moved to San Diego, leaving the Midwest winters behind. Donna and her family enjoy the mild San Diego weather, beaches and amazing sunsets. Donna enjoys reading, going to the beach and watching her kids play fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball.

Jose Coppolecchia

Jose Coppolecchia - Client manager, Europe


Jose has worked with ROS on and off for the past 15 years, and currently lives in Milan, Italy.  Jose is an electrical engineer and has over 30 years of experience in working as a project manager across a variety of equipment modalities, including linear accelerator, brachytherapy, CT/imaging equipment and MRI.  He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, and has worked both in Latin America and in Europe.

Jose is married with a son.  He loves Mediterranean food accompanied by a good wine (a true Italian!).  He is also a fan of the soccer team Internazionale di Milano.

Ashley Saunders - Marketing MANAGER


As Marketing Manager at R.O.S., Ashley’s role is to develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans, working closely with the sales team to ensure all internal and external needs are met. Ashley comes to R.O.S. with over 10 years of experience in marketing and graphic design. Her background is in brand management, email marketing, print marketing, e-commerce and website development and integration.

Ashley grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia and has lived in San Diego since 2005. She received a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts & Design from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband Jeremy and son Lane, soaking up the sun at the beach, and exploring all the outdoor activities San Diego has to offer.

Kate Tolentino

Kate Tolentino - Data Operations Analyst


Kate joined the ROS team in 2016 with a background in marketing from San Diego State University. At ROS, she works as a part of several teams, including marketing, sales operations, and finance. Kate is new to the medical device industry and is eager to learn about what it has to offer and more.

Out of the office, you can find Kate roaming around San Diego trying new and different restaurants with her friends. When not out-and-about, Kate enjoys her time at home playing video games, drawing, and sewing with the company of her two dogs at her feet.

Natalie Hamilton

natalie hamilton - client support administrator


Natalie joined the R.O.S. team in 2017 with a background in property management, customer service, and administrative support. At ROS, she provides administrative support to the marketing, sales, and finance teams as well as their respective clientele. Natalie is passionate about assisting others and is eager to support the sales team in their efforts to provide life-saving and life-healing medical equipment to customer’s all around the globe.

As a San Diego native, Natalie enjoys spending her free time at the beach, hiking local trails, and playing volleyball. When not out enjoying the sunshine, Natalie enjoys spending time at home with her friends or with her two nephews.

Darcy Lopez

DARCY LOPEZ - client support ADMinistrator


In her role as Client Support Coordinator, Darcy works to provide expert administrative support for the ROS Sales and Marketing teams, as well as all ROS customers and vendors. With a background in legal administration and office management, Darcy strives to provide a solid foundation of organization and reliability for coworkers and customers alike.

Darcy grew up in West Texas but has lived in several states across the country; including Michigan, Maryland, Arizona, and now California. With a lifelong passion for music and dance, Darcy enjoys attending live performances and submerging herself in new artistic experiences.
