Course 1: Basics
This course is geared towards individuals, departments or organizations looking to enter the field, or to gain deeper understanding of linear accelerator mechanical functionality and maintenance.
Learning Objective: Understand basic mechanical functionality and fundamental parts within a linear accelerator.
- Bootcamp course covers an overview on the following linear accelerator elements: RF Driver, Bending Magnet, Klystron Pulse Voltage, Beam Loading, Beam Finding, Beam Symmetry, Flattening Filters
- Self-directed course with seven (7) sections (each section 84-minute run time)
- Video lesson and lab demonstration for each section
- Quiz for each of the sections
